Terms of Service

By accessing or using CozyTales ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use our Service.

CozyTales provides personalized children's bedtime story generation services. We use artificial intelligence to create custom stories, illustrations, and narration based on child profiles that parents provide. Access to story generation and premium features may require a subscription or CozyBucks, our in-app credit (see Section 7).

• •You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service
• •You must be the parent or legal guardian of any children whose profiles you create. Children do not create or operate accounts themselves

• •You must provide accurate and complete information
• •You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• •You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• •One person or family per account

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy our AI technology, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law
• Share account credentials with others
• Create inappropriate or harmful content requests
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction

• •Free Story: Try one free personalized story before any subscription commitment
• •Subscription Plans: Choose between Cozy Classic ($14.95/month), Premium Solo ($19.95/month), or Premium Family (from $29.95/month). Annual plans are also available at a discount. All prices are displayed at checkout in your local currency where supported.
• •CozyBucks: CozyBucks are our in-app credit used to generate stories and unlock certain premium features. CozyBucks are not a gift card, have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Once spent to generate a story, CozyBucks are consumed and non-refundable, except that we will automatically refund CozyBucks if story generation fails on our side. Unused CozyBucks expire when your account is closed or terminated.
• •Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as you selected) at the then-current price, until you cancel. You give your express consent to this automatic renewal when you subscribe.
• •Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will continue to have access until then, and you will not be charged again.
• •Refunds: Subscription payments are generally non-refundable for partial periods. Statutory rights are not affected — see Section 19 for the EU/EEA/UK right of withdrawal and its waiver. We may issue discretionary refunds in exceptional circumstances; contact hello@cozytales.app.
• •Price Changes: We will notify you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before any price change. You may cancel before the new price takes effect without penalty; if you do not cancel, the new price applies from your next renewal.
• •Merchant of Record: Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record and reseller for all subscriptions and CozyBucks purchases. Invoices, receipts, tax handling, and payment-related refund processing are handled by Paddle under Paddle's own Buyer Terms. You can manage billing and request a refund from the receipt email or from your account's billing page.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your information, including information about children provided by you as a parent or guardian.

• •CozyTales owns all rights to the Service, including our technology and branding
• •You own the personal information you provide
• •Generated stories are provided for your personal and family use in accordance with Section 6

• •The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law
• •We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• •Stories, illustrations, and narration are generated by artificial intelligence. They may occasionally contain errors, unexpected wording, or inaccuracies. Parents are encouraged to preview content before sharing it with their child
• •CozyTales is intended as entertainment. It is not a substitute for professional educational, medical, psychological, or developmental advice

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CozyTales shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, death, or personal injury.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CozyTales from any claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent such indemnification is permitted under applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your account for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, with notice where practicable. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. On termination or cancellation, access to premium features ends when the paid period expires, and any unused CozyBucks are forfeited. We retain certain records (such as invoices) for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law. To delete your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept a material change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect and we will refund the unused portion of any pre-paid period. Continued use after the effective date of the change constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection granted to you by mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you habitually reside.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be brought before the competent courts of Warsaw, Poland. If you are a consumer, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you habitually reside and to be sued only in those courts, in accordance with Articles 17–19 of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels I-bis). You may also contact us directly to try to resolve any issue before going to court.

These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and CozyTales regarding the use of our Service. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
